Cobblestone Energy hosted students from Bocconi University (Università Bocconi Milano, Italy) as part of the In-Company Training (ICT) programme, a short career initiative designed by Bocconi in partnership with selected organisations across Italy and internationally.
The ICT format is designed to give students direct exposure to professional environments through structured sessions held at the host organisation’s premises. During the programme, students engage with managers and employees in an open and practical setting, supporting meaningful insight into the firm’s culture, working approach, and opportunities within the sector.
A Structured Learning Experience
The session at Cobblestone Energy provided a focused introduction to the organisation, combining discussion-based learning with practical exposure. Activities included a company presentation, an overview of key functions, interactive discussion, and informal engagement with team members. Students also gained insight into professional roles within commodities trading and related functions, as well as the skills and capabilities required for long-term development.
The programme encouraged active participation through Q&A and discussion, supporting a stronger understanding of how trading firms operate and how teams collaborate across markets and disciplines.
Supporting Talent Development
Cobblestone Energy offers multiple educational programmes to develop emerging and established talent as part of its long-term focus on investing in people. This includes structured initiatives such as the Commercial Development Programme (CDP).
Hosting the Bocconi ICT programme aligns with Cobblestone’s commitment to supporting education and professional development, while creating opportunities to connect with high-potential students and early-career talent.
Cobblestone Energy remains open to collaboration with academic institutions and initiatives that contribute to practical learning, career insight, and long-term capability building.
