During my CTP, I had a chance to interact with the entire team. It was during these interactions that I learned the team strived for excellence and would only push further from once it achieved that. As a Commercial Graduate, I dabble between both analysis and trading, which are very different in terms of the skill set required and hence I can learn much more than I would in any other place at such an early stage in my career.

It’s quite an open learning environment. If you’re curious about power and gas and you work in a less structured way, you feel quite supported here. Also you’re encouraged to get as involved as you want, usually. So it gives you perspective about what’s involved in running a trading business which might be lacking in bigger more silo’d places with more tape.

I liked that Cobblestone is young, relatively small and rapidly growing company so effort of every person is important. Also, companies’ values of “hiring and keeping only the most effective people” and “being the best in any market we enter” suggested me that I will work together with talented people and be engaged in building something great. Finally, I found Cobblestone culture a 100% fit for me since I believe meritocracy and friendly environment results in higher personal involvement, motivation and work enjoyment.

The fact that there is something to learn from every team member. Apart from hard and soft skills, you can learn a lot about different countries and cultures since currently there are more than 25 nationalities in the company.
